Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) has been started in the district from August 2018 to create strong groups of women from rural poor families and provide them institutional development and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
- So far, 3794 self-help groups have been formed in 607 villages of 243 gram panchayats of the district, and 44809 women have been linked to them.
- So far, village organizations and 15 cluster level organizations have been formed in 300 villages with the participation of self-help groups in the district.
- Till now, 2268 groups have been provided Revolving Fund amount of Rs. 25 lakh, Community Investment Fund (CIF) amount of Rs. 847.50 lakh has been provided to 1074 groups, Disaster Fund (VID) amount of Rs. 49.05 lakh has been provided to 64 village organizations for 308 groups. Small and big financial needs of poor families were met through bank linkage amounting to Rs. 3680.14 lakh to 1884 groups.
- For employment/self-employment of rural youth, 1931 youth were provided training through RSETIs and 450 youth were provided training by selected institutions under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Rural Skills Scheme and 1695 youth were provided employment through employment fairs.
- Community Resource Person (CRP) – 458 people have been appointed so far in the district for the work of propagating the concept of group, maintaining group documents, organizing, conducting and capacity building of group meetings, bank coordination, cooperation in income earning activities of groups etc. Cooperation of more CRPOs is being sought.
- Livelihood Activities- Agriculture based livelihood activities are being conducted by 15572 families in the district and non-agriculture based livelihood activities by 5616 families. Thus, livelihood activities are being conducted by a total of 21188 group members in the district.
- 12568 group members have joined the Lakhpati Club in the district.
- Uniform stitching work is being done continuously by 559 women of 134 groups in the district.
- In coordination with other schemes of the government, nurseries were established by 3 groups in the district, cow sheds are being run by 3 groups. 1 Didi Cafe is being operated in the district.
- Under the Chief Minister Rural Street Vendor Scheme in the district, interest free loan amounting to Rs 2,39,50,000/- has been provided to 2395 beneficiaries.
