Kedareshwar in the lap of Nature
A Shiv temple situated in the lap of nature is 7 kms away from Amarpura village situated between Rampura and Besala and is famous in the region by the name of Kedareshwar. To reach this beautiful place, one can reach from Amarpura village through Salramala by a dirt road. Though it is a dirt road, vehicles can easily come here even during the rainy season. Situated in the picturesque valleys of nature, the atmosphere here is very peaceful and auspicious. There is an ancient Shiv temple under the sky-high hills. Here, a stream of water falls on the Shivling for twelve months, which is synonymous with Shiv Abhishek. Apart from Ganeshji, there is also a temple of Riddhi-Siddhi, Durga and Hanumanji. There is proper arrangement for the stay of the devotees coming here. According to a legend, the Pandavas stayed here for a few days during their exile. Draupadi planted a Champa tree here. Queen Ahilyabai of the Holkar kingdom also performed Shiv Abhishek here. People believe that wishes made here are fulfilled. Cradles are also tied here when children are born. Monkeys are also seen roaming around in large numbers in Kedareshwar. The beautiful sight of Kedareshwar always remains in the minds of the devotees who come here.
